One more thing about the Rockets - Bucks game yesterday ...

I'm all for alternate jerseys (love the throwback Red and Yellow Rox jerseys), but WTF is up with Milwaukee wearing a red jersey in a road game against the RED NATION and the RED ROWDIES and the RED ROCKETS? Isn't their usual jersey green? Why in the world would you wear red? Whoever thought this up is a moron. Bring back the green and purple Bucks jersey with the actual deer on it. Thing of beauty, really.

Rockets win

Quick thoughts:

- Cowboys do suck. Especially with the whining about the Vikes running up the score. If y'all are as great as y'all think y'all are, y'all wouldn't be in a position to whine about being beat up so bad. Screw the Cowboys, and if you don't want the score run up on ya, I don't know, stop them. You queers. You're all still a bunch of Oklahomans to me.

- Weird thought: if the Jets beat the Colts, will the universe implode on itself? Will Pey-Pey blame everyone but himself? These are rhetorical questions, of course.

- Rockets beat the Bucks, but have to go to overtime because they go ice cold in the 3rd and 4th before Landry and Scola go nuts in the OT. Still, that's twice in three games where the Rockets have to go to overtime to beat a bad team. Then again, it's a win. And they didn't have to deal with the Dwyane Wade Referee Force Field.

- Up next for the Rox, the Spurs. Let's go Rockets!

- Most complete NFL Draft coverage is at Hail Redskins, who knows why. It has almost every mock draft out there.

Playoffs

So, completely wrong on my NFL picks yesterday. Never fear.

- Jets destroy the Chargers.

- We see this from Tony Romo (not that I have any love for Favre).

Playoffs

Looking forward to this face:

(Manningface.com)

- And as much as I hate to root for a murderer, I hate Pey-Pey even more than Ray Lewis.

- And, being a Houston sports fan, I love to root for an underdog. GO CARDS!

Last time I checked ...

- So, the last time I checked, the Texans didn't get into the playoffs because the Bengals decided to tank the last game of the season and let the Jets in to the playoffs by beating teams that decided not to try. And then the Bengals forgot that the playoffs started the next week and continued to tank. Goes to show 'em. Hopefully, that means that the Colts will do the same next week to the Ravens. Fuck Pey-Pey and the Colts.

- Speaking of Colt, Longhorns in the National Championship game and Colt hurts himself five plays into the game. And the 'Horns almost make the comeback with the true freshman. If Colt plays, Longhorns win in a blowout, especially the way Saban was coaching. No one denies this.

- Rockets have lost 4 out of 6, and needed triple overtime to beat the pathetic Timberwolves. And there's rumors of trading for Chris Bosh without trading McGrady. I don't know if I really want to lose Brooks or Landry for a half season with Bosh, who I don't actually know that he's better than Landry. He probably has more teeth, and probably has not been shot in the leg. But that's just Landry's MANLY toughness. No one denies this.

- Astros sign Brett Myers. I still don't care.

- Royal Rumble right around the corner!

- Soundgarden back together!

what a world, what a world.

Texans finish 9-7, miss playoffs

Texans played a hell of a game, and beat a Patriots team that was actually trying (well, other than that last drive after the last Texans touchdown), as opposed to the Jets, who luck into the playoffs by playing teams that would have forfeited if they could (and, essentially, they did, by pulling their starters and such -- Would it have hurt you to beat them, Bengals? Colts? Jerks.)

Good:

- Texans played hard, and, in that fourth quarter, played hard for their coach's job. The players still had Kubiak's back, and that means something. And, that they played hard and succeeded for their coach speaks volumes as well. Owner Bob McNair stated that Kubiak's coming back next year, and that will be a good thing. I fear change.

- Matt Schaub is money. No, literally, the Texans are picking up his $10 million dollar option. Deservedly, considering he led the league in passing.
